ABOUT RUSSIA
Russia is a country with rich cultural and scientific traditions, historical heritage famous for its museums and magnificent architecture. It is the only country in the world which makes the West and East connection and harmonious confluence of the two different worlds. Russia is a fertile land for scientific discussions for scientists from all over the world.
The capital of Russia is Moscow, the country’s largest city, its major political, industrial and cultural center. First tribes appeared on the territory of the future Moscow in the Neolithic epoch. The reference to Moscow, as a town, is found in the old manuscript of 1147. Today Moscow is one of the world biggest megapolises and the biggest city in Europe. Its population is about 15 million people.
The second largest Russian megapolis with almost 5 million people inhabitants - St. Petersburg - is really a unique place to visit. The city was founded in 1703 by Peter the Great, Russia's first and the most famous Emperor. For more than 200 years, St. Petersburg was the capital of Russia and the main residence of 13 Russian Emperors.

Language
Official language of WARM-2010 will be English.
Visa
All foreign participants coming to Russia should obtain an entry visa to the Russian Federation.
Tourist visa will be issued for the working period of the Congress and the Postconference tour, if ordered. Supporting documents will be made based on your personal information submitted online at the Visa Support section. The Congress Technical Secretariat will send the visa supporting documents to the participant.
Insurance
The Organizing Committee does not accept any liability for personal injuries sustained, nor for loss or damage to property belonging to the participants or accompanying persons, either during or as a result of the Congress. You are advised to make your own arrangements for health and travel insurance.

The two digits should be dialed from any stationary phone with no codes. If you are dialling from a mobile phone — dial 112 — to be transferred to the emergency number of your service provider. If your operator does not provide this service or if your roaming agreement doesn’t include it, you will be given the correct number to dial the city emergency services.
